“100 Colombians” prize for Juan Manuel Cárdenas

The president of Colombia awards a distinction every year to 100 Colombians who are successful living abroad, including artists, athletes, designers, economists, entrepreneurs, physicians and scientists. Juan Manuel Cárdenas, co-founder of ANavS, was awarded this distinction in 2013 for his career as an aerospace engineer in the emerging Colombian space program and as a satellite navigation entrepreneur in Germany. He was invited to a ceremony hosted by president Dr. Juan Manuel Santos at his official residence. His profile was published at the Bogotá international airport and the main Colombian embassies abroad.

Visit of Minister Peter Ramsauer at the transport logistic trade fair

Transport_Logistics_Messe_2013ANavS took part in the transport logistic trade fair 2013 in Munich, which is the largest logistics trade fair in the world. ANavS participated in a booth at the European Space Agency’s ESA SAT NAV-Forum for four days and our managing directors also attended the Navigation Conference organized by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. The conference stressed the importance of new satellite navigation and  telematics based technologies for the logistics industry. ANavS showed its new low-cost Position and Attitude Determination System (PAD), which provides a heading accuracy of up to 0.01°.

Visit of Jean-Jacques Dordain

ESA Director General Jean-Jacques Dordain, Bavarian Minister for Economic Affairs Martin Zeil, and member of the board of space administration of the German Aerospace Center DLR Dr. Gerd Gruppe visited Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen (AZO) to celebrate the creation of 1.000 new jobs since 2004 and to sign an agreement to extend the ESA BIC Bavaria programme.
